Willie Cleveland Brackett was born on May 29, 1941, to Martin S. Brackett, Sr., and Leatha Agee, who both preceded him in death, along with his son.
Willie confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Joseph Baptist Church.
In 1962, he joined the US Army. After he completed his military service, he became a member of a gospel group called the Gospel Revelations.
“Babe Brother”, as he was called by many, was a Renaissance man, but his passion was painting which he did until his retirement.
Willie was united in matrimony to his former spouse, Betty Bester Brackett, and this union produced a daughter, Anita Brackett Hinton.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted daughter, Anita Brackett Hinton, and another daughter, Stephanie Bester; two granddaughters, Brittney (Courtney) Stokes and Raven Hinton; three brothers, Martin S. (Mildred) Brackett, Jr., Victor Lee (Barbara) Brackett, and Leon (Cynthia) Brackett; one loving sister, Ouida Brackett-Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He also had a very special friend, Abbiegail Stephens.
