Tony Warren Jones, 65, passed away April 1, 2026 peacefully at his home in Billingsley Alabama.
Born in 1960 Tony lived a life defined by Service to his community and a deep devotion to his family. He served his country in the army and the army National Guard. His years in the Service reflected his strong sense of duty, leadership, and commitment to protecting the nation he loved.
Later in life, he cofounded and co-directed the nationwide storm team, a team of individuals that would read radar and track storms all across the United States.
Above all, Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage, a love for Alabama football and awful movies. He also loved boiled peanuts but Diane wasn’t too much of a fan.
He was a proud daddy to Mary (Jabari), Anthony (Lena), and Andrea. A loving grandpa to Summer (Jacob), Emily (Kaloni), Jadyn, Xandar and Alexia. A loving Great Grandpa to Adonis and Corinna.
Special thanks to Jabari Agee for the love and care he provided for his ‘Mr. Jones.’
He is survived and remembered by sisters Yvonne (Bonnie) and Jean, along with a host of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
He was preceded to the gates of Heaven by his parents, Lona Hand Jones and Daniel Jones along with much loved sisters Annette, Brenda, Jane and Susie.
