Shirley Martin Hardnett was born on Janurary 25, 1947, to the late Albert and Virginia Martin.
She confessed Life to Christ and joined Saint Paul Baptist Church, there served as an usher. She attended Chilton County Training School.
On May 21, 1966, she join hands in matrimony to the late Donald Hardnett. She retired from Brown Molding in Montevallo, AL.
She transitioned from this life to her eternal rest on June 13, 2022; she was truly loved. She was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Hardnett; five brothers, Tommy Joe Martin, Albert Martin, Jr., Charles Martin, James Martin, and Anthony Martin; one godbrother, Isiah Oliver; two sisters, Darlene Martin and Lorine Martin Cotton.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Donald (Sarah) Hardnett; one daughter, Neikkita (Mike) Williams; four grandchildren, Kamryn Williams, Shaneice, Jalen, and Dontae Hardnett; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Dawkins and Tina (Earl) Ball, both of Detroit, MI; four brothers, David (Hazel) Martin, James (Patricia) Martin of Detroit, MI, Roger (Martha) Martin of Montevallo, AL, and Richard Martin of Jemison, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends with three special cousins, Bobbie Wilson, Kenny Vines, and Kenya Oliver.
