Sallie Simon was born on August 23, 1931, in Maplesville, Alabama, to the late Mary Wilson Anderson and the late Goldman Anderson.
She joined and was baptized at New Convert Baptist Church, where she attended until her union with the late Ellison Simon. She then joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Jemison, Alabama, where she served as a member of the choir and faithful servant until failing health problems.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Edward Lewis Anderson, and her daughter, Floral Jean Nunn.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Reverend Elbert Simon (Diane), Bobby Simon, Larry Simon, all of Jemison, Alabama, and Leo Simon (Felicia) of Clanton, Alabama. She also has eight stepkids, the late Geniva Bridges, the late Lenell Simon, the late Ellison Simon, Jr., Mary Alice Anderson of Clanton, Alabama, Inell Perkins of Birmingham, Alabama, Dollie Ann Ridley of Sylacauga, Alabama, Vinette Simon of Anniston, Alabama, and Minnie Lee Bradfor of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
