S.J. McCary

S.J. McCary was born on September 25, 1925 to the late Luke McCary Sr., and the late Lillie Kent. To his parents’ union Ten children were born.  

S.J. was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Alice Hicks on August 19, 1955. He also served as a faithful Trustee, Deacon, and Member at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was blessed to live Ninety-Seven Years.

S.J. transitioned from his earthly life on Wednesday August 18, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, all his siblings, his stepson; Elmore Hicks, and his step grandson; Marion Hicks.

S.J. leaves to cherish his memories One stepdaughter in law: Three step grand children: Mark (Talitha) Hicks of Texas, Jamille (Michael) of Texas, and Jana Wagner of Jemison, AL. Seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Two special friends: Brenda Silman, and Wayne Ray.

S.J. was always known to say, “Great day in the Morning.”
