Ruby Mae Varner was born December 27, 1947, to the late Willie and Willie Bell Anderson. She was a twin sister to the late Ruthie Mae (Mickey) Anderson. She joined the Big Spring Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she grew in grace until her union of marriage to the late Moses Varner; then she became a member of Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church. After many years of service at Flint Hill and Big Spring, Minister Ruby Varner joined Hopewell “The Well” Church under the leadership of Bishop Larry Sailes, where she remained a member until her death on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Ruby attended and graduated from Chilton County Training School in 1966. She continued her education at John Patterson Technical School, where she received her Beautician Certificate in Cosmetology.
