Rocky Lane Watley, 69, of Clanton passed away Monday, July 1st, 2024 at Baptist South Montgomery He was resident of Prattville Nursing Home and Rehab. He was born July 23, 1954 in Clanton, AL. He is the son of the late Raymond Charles Watley and Peggy Dean Watley. He was a drywall superintendent and worked construction. He will forever be remembered by his family as "Hard Rock"
Surviving are 2 sons, Rocky Lane Watley Jr. of Clanton, AL father to granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren; Jessie Stone Watley of Wetumpka, AL, father to granddaughters Kaliyah Alora Watley, Bryelin Tray Watley and great-grandson Memphis Gray Watley. Sisters Glenda Diane Baker of Clanton, AL, Ann Marie Pearson of Clanton, AL and brothers Timothy Charles (Stefanie) Watley of Thorsby, AL, William Chris (Francis) Watley of Clanton, AL, Lewis Craig (Gail) Watley of Clanton, AL.
He was preceded in death by 3 brother's, Phillip Raymond Watley, Gordon Wayne (Teresa) Watley of Thorsby, AL and Marty Brian Watley of Clanton, AL.
At Rocky's, request no service to be held, private graveside for family will be held later this month. In honor of Rocky, I invite you to privately celebrate him by I remembering one of his "great stories" like only he could tell and listen to his favorite song, "One Day at a Time" by Christy Lane.
