Robert (William) Earl Davis, age 69, a resident of Billingsley, AL, passed away on January 1, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Robert was born on December 2, 1953, to Nettie Wade and James Sykes in Mississippi.
After he graduated from Thorsby High School, he went to George Wallace Community College. He is survived by six children, and two sons-in-law, Yulanda S. Davis Harris and Travis Harris, Thaddeus Davis, Twanna L. Davis Aremu and Kolawole Aremu, Sophia L. Davis, Shamia S. Edwards, and Kandace Davis; six grandchildren, Dontearius Parker, Issac Parker, Gwendolyn Taylor, Alondra Davis, Aden Davis, and Harper Aremu; four great-grandchildren, Vladimir Parker, Rosha Parker, Yoshiko Parker, and Amenadiel Parker.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Wade, father James Skyes, step-father, John C. Wade, brother, Michael Davis, sister, Letisha Wade, and grandmother, Sally Davis.
He is survived by his beloved sisters, Lillie P. Hayes, Barbara A. Armstrong, Shelia D. Davis, Lisa Wade, and Jacqueline Wade; uncle, Jim A. Davis; and a host of beloved cousins and other family and friends whom he loved dearly.
He was a passionate, loving person who never met a stranger. You could always catch him watching his favorite football team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, saying, “Roll Tide Roll!” He was always hitting his favorite dance moves with his family.
