On January 26, 1958, Rickie Jerome Christian was born to his
parents, Fred Christian and Callie Cade, in Montgomery, AL.
He
was introduced to Christ at an early age and baptized at Jerusalem
Baptist Church. He attended Montgomery public schools and was
a profound basketball player.
Preceding in his death are: his mother, Callie Cade; father,
Fred Christian; sister, Tammy Talley; brothers, David Hodrick
and Barry Christian; niece, Chenequa Perryman; and nephew,
Kamarus Christian.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife whom he met in 1999
and married in 2001, Anita Christian; children, Altwon Taylor and
Temeaka Taylor, both of Montgomery, AL, and Decarlos Taylor
(Ayana) of Mobile, AL; stepchildren, Jakeria Mitchell, Jalarius
Looney, and Keondra Looney, all of Clanton, AL; grandchildren,
DeVante Green, Traci Harris, Decarlos Taylor, Jr., Robert Lee IV,
and Taylor Boyd, all of Montgomery, AL, and Chrishunda Taylor
of Clanton, AL; step-grandchildren, Ivyonna Varner, Janiyah
Looney, Jakhia Looney, Jaylee Looney, Kyleigh Floyd, and Khloe
Floyd, all of Clanton, AL; siblings, Fredda Perryman, Tandra
Brown, Kowalkowski Hampton, and Fredrick Williams (Crystal),
all of Montgomery, AL, Larry Cade (Barbara) of GA, Jacquelyn
Peeke, Louvern Norwood, Ruthia (May) Clemons, Fred Christian,
Jr., and Juan Jetta Kine (Bobby), all of Clanton, AL, and Shirley
Ann Williams of Dayton, OH; a host of favorite cousins, nieces,
and nephews, dedicated uncle and aunt, Henry and Mary Williams;
special friends, Johnnie Mae Townsend and Larry Looney; friend/
daughter, Sataco Ward; and a host of special friends that were like
family. He left his footprint on each and every person’s heart he
met.
