Richard D. Lawley was born on March 23, 1957, to the late Jack Lawley and Maudell Anderson Lawley.
Richard worked in the logging industry as a skidder driver for many years. He had an outgoing personality and loved to fish and spend time with family especially his brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Lawley, Kenneth Lawley, Larry Lawley, and Roger Lawley; and sisters, Yvonne Bowman and Glenda Cayton.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Josh of Clanton, AL, and Chris of Florida; daughters, Jennifer of Clanton, AL, and Danielle of Alabama; step-daughter, Melinda Shanks; previous wife, Toni Bond; grandson, Quinn; granddaughters, Jenna, Kendra, and Ava; brothers, Frankie (Candy) Lawley of Jemison, AL, Mack (Becky) Lawley of Jemison, AL, Teddy Lawley of Prattville, AL, and Chris Lawley of Clanton, AL; sisters, Becky Lawley Vines of Clanton, AL, and Dorothy (Earl) Taylor of Clanton, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to sister in laws, Candy Lawley and Joyce Baker whom he loved dearly.
