Reginald Thomas Morris, “Tommy” to some, “Reggie” to
others, was born December 24, 1980, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He had two loving parents, Caressa R. Arrington (deceased) and
Christ Morris, Sr. He also had a loving stepmother, Iris Morris
(deceased). Tommy spent most of his childhood in Maplesville,
Alabama. He graduated from Maplesville High School and then
enlisted in the United States Navy, were he would serve for three
years.
After leaving the Navy, he decided to make a trip to Chicago,
Illinois, where he would later meet the love of his life, Jacqueline
Morris. Jacqueline and Tommy met in 2003 and would later get
married in 2010. He worked at UPS until his death, resulting in
more than twenty years of service. He was also very active in his
community, running for 4th Ward Alderman in 2023 for Harvey,
Illinois.
“Tommy/Reggie” left his earthly life on February 18, 2024. He
leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Jacqueline Morris; father,
Christ Morris, Sr.; one son, Chaz Morris; three sisters, Sherita
Morris‐Barnes (Kenneth), Rachel Collier (Steven), and Adrienne
Morris; two brothers, Christ Morris, Jr. (Amber), and Antoinne
Barron (Renarda); two stepsisters, Kristie Simone Kelley and
Adrienne Browder; one stepbrother, Eric Wilson (Tondia); one
stepdaughter, Janie Nettles; one stepson, Roberto Nettles; three
sisters‐in‐law, Linda Needham‐Moore, Virginia Wilson, and
Jennifer Haywood‐Richmond; seven brothers‐in‐law, Raymond
Wilson, Samuel Wilson, Ricky Wilson (Asia), Patrick Wilson, Otha
Haywood, Tommy Wilson (Rebecca), and Gregory Holmes; seven
grandchildren, Cambree Morris, Kamden Morris, Amari Payne,
Jazlyn Morris, Jamya Luckett, Nyerere Luckett, and Christopher
Luckett; three aunts, Shirley Willis, Yvette Bruce, and Patricia
Morris; two uncles, Efrom Morris and Wayne Bruce (Melissa); best
friends and brothers for life, Jason Wilson, Andrew Scott, Jr., and
Woody; his Jehovah Giving Family Members, godfather, Andrew
Scott, Sr., Andrea Scott, and Jumica Scott; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
