Minnie Lee (Woods) Allison was born on Saturday, November 11, 1950, in Pelham, AL. She was the daughter of the late J.C. and Arletha Atchison. At an early age, Minnie confessed her life to Christ and joined Beulah Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1980, she married her best friend, Samuel Earl Allison; together, they raised three children: Zenobia (Dickerson) Hood, John Le'Vic Dickerson, and Scottie Levette Allison. Minnie was an exceptional mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and sister.
She was a selfless woman who never hesitated to extend a helping hand. Her favorite pastimes were cooking for family and friends and watching her favorite shows (Little House on the Prairie, Gunsmoke, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman). In addition, she was affectionately known as a "meteorologist" who consistently provided weather updates to family and friends. Her wisdom and guidance will be dearly missed.
Minnie was called home on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Samuel Earl Allison, and her brother, Gregory Atchison.
Her memories are left to be cherished by her three children: Zenobia (Maurice) Hood, John (Christa) Dickerson, and Scottie Allison; her three sisters: Maxine Morrow, Sophia (Mike) McCary, and Shkeler Morrow; six grandchildren: Rheaven Ray, Rhobyn Brantley, Madysen Hood, Jay Dickerson, Xavier Simms, Jaaziah Long, and one great-grandchild, Rhyver Brooks.
A special thank you to her nephew, Kevin Bryant, and her niece, Carol Nunn, for their unwavering support in her time of need.
