A special flower was plucked from our garden of life on July 7, 2022, when Michael Henderson Fairbanks was called from earth to receive his heavenly reward.
He was born on August 11, 1981, to Henderson and Deborah Fairbanks.
He confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Warrior, under the leadership of Rev. Columbus Christian. He worshipped at Clanton Church of God.
From birth to death, he always had a smile on his face and never met a person who was not mesmerized by his kindness. He lived and loved life to the fullest, with no regrets.
Michael was educated in the Warrior school system, where he graduated in the class of 2000.
He worked several years with Loomis Armored US before going to work at Boise Cascade, for which he has worked the last five years.
On April 27, 2019, he united in holy matrimony to April Burton. Three years were shared between them.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Eugene and Betty Benton, Sr., and Henderson and Beatrice Fairbanks, Sr.; one aunt, Vickey Rogers; and one uncle, Calvin Fairbanks.
To continue his legacy, he leaves: his wife, April Fairbanks; mother, Deborah Fairbanks; father, Henderson Fairbanks, Jr.; one sister, Donna Alexander; two brothers, Derrick (Marion) Fairbanks and Marcus Fairbanks; two nephews, Erick and David Fairbanks; one uncle, Eugene(Lee)Benton, Jr.; two aunts, Brenda (Melvin) Dickey and Era (Greg) Allen; mother and father-in-law, Letia and Jerry underwood; special cousins, Dwayne and Ruby Benton, Sharon Dickey, Lawrence (Lashanda) Dickey, and Beatrice (Shaun) Charles; a host of other relatives; his brother from another mother, Brian Smith; and the following extended families: Smith’s, Brown’s, and McKinley’s.
