Mary Louise Morrow was born March 7, 1938, in Dallas County, Alabama to the late Edgar Cook and Luvertha Morrow (Snead).
Mary accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church until 1977, when she moved to Detroit, MI. She then became a member of Joy Rd. Baptist Church. After retiring and returning to Clanton, she renewed her membership with Hopewell Baptist Church.
Mary had 12 children; 6 preceded her in death: Brenda F. Hudson, Wanda Gail and Jerry Lykes, Jimmy, Cecil, and Katy Louise Lawson. 26 grandchildren; 2 preceded her in death: Michael McKinnon and DaKari Lykes. 11 brothers and sisters; 8 preceded in death: Minnie Campbell, Eugene and Clarence Morrow-all of Detroit, MI, Eddie Mae Enoch, Robert, Danny, and Fred Cook- all of Selma, AL, and Pearlie Wright of Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories 6 children: Jesse E. Lykes (Jacqueline) of Detroit, MI, Monica D. Lykes, Roscoe Morrow (Patricia Ann), Luvertha Morrow and Willodean Jenkins of Clanton, AL and Willie C. Lawson III of Charlotte, NC; 24 grandchildren: Latoya (Rodney), Tierra, Christina (Anthony), Tomesea, Darnell, Monique (DeWayne), Courtney, Irelle, Willie IV, Jessie, Shakeya, JaBari, Iesha, Jesse Jr., Gail, Sharlae, Elizabeth, Akaya, Akeya, Tiffany, DeAndre, DeAngelo, Sequita, and Camonique; 30 great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great grandchildren, 3 siblings: Luther and Willie (Margaret) Cook and Jacqueline Elliot, all of Selma, AL; a very special god-daughter Binita Cook of Montgomery, AL; and a lifelong friend, Doris Williams of Clanton, AL.
