Obituary

Mark Anthony Russell was born on June 20, 1976, to the late Mr. Sam Robert Russell and Mrs. Dorothy Joe Lykes Russell.

Mark went to Henry Ford High School in Avondale, Louisiana. He enjoyed things such as animation (anime), fishing, playing video games, and listening to oldies music, but his favorite was Pokie Bear. His favorite color was blue, and he enjoyed making drinks and cooking gumbo.

Mark met a young lady named Tieshe Webb and they married on July 7, 2019, at Union Baptist Church in Marbury, Alabama. This united Mark and his daughter, Kiana Russell, with a family.

Mark departed this world on April 27, 2023, at East Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana .

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in his death by his grandparents, Mrs. Sarah Lykes and Mr. Leonard Lykes; uncles, Eugene “Alabama Slim” Lykes and Joshua Lykes; and cousin, Niklos Davis .

Mark leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Tieshe Russell; daughter, Kiana Russell; cousins, Paula DeJarnett (Gregory DeJarnett) and Finister Jefferson; special friend, David Edwards; and a host of uncles, aunts, neices, nephews, and friends.
