Maggie Dell (Tyus) Brooks

Maggie Dell Tyus Brooks, a resident of Verbena, Alabama, was born on November 15, 1957, in Montgomery Alabama, to the late Dollzell (Gill) Tyus and Ephraim Ray.

Dell accepted Christ at a young age and later in life joined Union Baptist Church in Marbury, Alabama.

She joined the National Guard and served over twenty years. After retirement, she spent years caring for others.

Dell transitioned on March 1, 2025, to her eternal life with our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Larry Tyus, Donnie Faye McDaniel, and Barbara Ann Robinson.

She leaves to cherish one devoted daughter, Natalie (Nikki) Sutton of Verbena, AL; three brothers, Steve (Wendy) Tyus of Verbena, AL, Tyrone Ray of Verbena, AL, and Doug Ray of Clanton, AL; one sister, Diane Barbour of Huntsville, AL; one sister-in-law, Rosie Tyus of Clanton, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
