Linda Faye (Barbour) Davis was born November 18, 1950, to the late William and Ruth Barbour in Clanton, Alabama.
She passed away on March 5, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, surrounded by family.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church in Clanton, Alabama, until her death.
After moving from Clanton to Gary, Indiana, then on to Chicago, Illinois, with her parents, she received her education from South Chicago. After returning to Clanton, she married the late Oliver Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Barbour, and loving husband, Oliver Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories: two devoted children, Angela Smith and Carlton Barbour, both of Clanton, AL; one sister, Cherry Chapman of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Marvin Bivins of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Johnny Barbour of TN, Lamar Kelley of AL, Camilla Barbour of AL, Cordella (Clarence) Godwin of GA, Phebein Taylor of AL, Cortez Barbour of AL, and Cabreshya Barbour of OH; ten great-grands; three great- great-grands; four uncles, Marvin (Diane) Barbour of IN, Harold Floyd of AL, Edward Barbour of AL, and Joe Barbour of AL; one aunt, Cora Barbour of AL; stepmother, Kary Barbour of AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
