LILLIE PEARL DAVIS, age 74, a resident of Thorsby, Alabama, passed away on August 15, 2025 at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Lillie was born on May 5, 1951, to Nettie Wade and James Sykes in Mississippi. She is survived by five children: Bobby Joe Davis, Josephine Brown, Sharon Hayes, Linda Hayes, and David Dewayne Davis; and ten grandchildren, Justin Davis, Mariah Hayes, Whitney Hayes, Jeremiah Coatsex, Jonavon Davis, Bobby Davis, Jr., Alex Davis, Damon Warr, Karter Davis, and Ava Davis; and nine great-grandchildren.
Lillie was preceded in death by her mother, Nettie Wade; father, James Skyes; stepfather, John C. Wade; brother, Robert Barbara “William” Davis and Michael Davis; sisters Barbara Armstrong and Letisha Wade; and grandmother, Sally Davis.
She is survived by her beloved sisters, Shelia D. Davis, Lisa Wade, and Jacqueline Wade; uncle, Jim A. Davis; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, her passing leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a nurturing soul who always put her children and grandchildren first, creating a home filled with warmth and care. She would welcome strangers to her home and feed them like family.
After retiring from Walmart following 25 years of loyal service, she continued to share her generous spirit by working at Son’s Thrift Store in Jemison, Alabama. Known for her friendly nature, she truly never met a stranger. Her smile and compassion touched everyone she encountered.
She was a passionate fan of Auburn Football and the New York Yankees, cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm. Her presence brought joy to many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
She will be truly missed.
