He departed this life January 4, 2023, at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Rose Mary DeJarnett.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters, LaGretchen (Byron) Johnson of Waldorf, MD, Lakesha DeJarnett of Austin, TX, Felicia DeJarnett of Montgomery, AL, and Constance DeJarnett of Birmingham, AL; one son, Terrence DeJarnett of Prattville, AL; seven grandchildren, Lacie, Shayla, Kayla, Erma, Yvonne, Jaykwan, and Jamarkius; one great-grandchild, Nyla; eight siblings, Jesse (Bertha) Sullivan of Clanton, AL, Deborah (Larry) White of Los Angeles, CA, Barbara Sullivan of Clanton, AL, Brenda Sullivan of Maplesville, AL, Carolyn Sullivan of Maplesville, AL, Mary (James) Milhouse of Valley Grande, AL, Broderick (Donna) Sullivan of Clanton, AL, and Johnathon (Tracy) Wilson of Maplesville, AL; two loving fur babies, Butch and Teddy Bear; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
