JOHNNIE MAE PRICE BROWN, affectionately known as Mae Mae, was born on July 15, 1939, in Verbena, Alabama, to Ruth Tyus Price and Alex Price.
She departed this life at the age of 86.
Johnnie Mae Price Brown was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Odell Brown on February 23, 1956. They were united in love and marriage for 53 years. She grew up in Penecost Community, Exit 200, Verbena, Alabama.
She went to Penecost School. She graduated school. She married Odell Brown of Old Kinston Community and Browntown, Alabama, where she met the love of her life, and moved to Old Kinston, Alabama. She leaves a legacy behind of loving and caring for a lot of people. Her work spoke for herself.
She is survived by her daughter, Lenora Daniel, Felics Daniel of Montgomery, AL; a special niece, Zettie Jenkins of Montgomery, AL; nephews, William Deramus of Verbena, AL, and Thomas Walker; special nephews, Kenneth Price and Darryl Price of Wilmington, DE; a host of nieces and nephews; Bettye Jane Gibbons, Billy Gibbons; and grandson, Frederick Posey.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Odell Brown; sisters, Susie Bell James of Verbena, AL, and Charlie Mae Wilson of Wilmington, DE; aunts, Lezeta Gill of Verbena, AL, Laura Bell Tyus Green of Mobile, AL, and Maggie Tyus; uncle, Joe Tyus; a special cousin, Callie Gill, Jr.; a special nephew, Manuel Wilson; and a special niece, Ashley Posey
