Jerry Jones Watkins, Sr., was born on June 10, 1935, to Essie Mae Hall and Donnie Watkins in Benton, Alabama.
He departed this life at the age of 87 on February 25, 2023.
He was united in holy matrimony to Estelle Deramus on September 19, 1959, and to this union, six children were born with one child, Brian Watkins, preceding him in death.
Jerry was a faithful member of Resurrection Catholic Church until his death.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and beloved wife, Estelle, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage; five children: one son, Jerry (Yadira) Watkins, Jr., of San Diego, CA, and four daughters, Rosemary Ellis of Bonita, CA, Carolyn (Byron) Speigner of Clanton, AL, Jacqueline Watkins of Snellville, GA, and Lori Smith of Prattville, AL; four brothers, Mack (Carolyn) Hall of Americus, GA, and Charles Hall, Joe Hall, and Joseph Hall, all of Montgomery, AL; two wonderful sisters-in-law, Sadie (Marcellus) Tyus of Verbena, AL, and Carolyn Miller of Worcester, MA; two dear brothers-in-law, Jerry (Diane) Taylor and Robert Motley; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Charisse, Gregory, Paul, Porsha, Carlieta, Sir Llonee, Tyler, Trenycia, Isaiah, Levi, Cameron, Noah, Carmen, Kaye, Jeremiah, Shanniria, Darnell, and Kaziah; great-great-grandchild, Aiden; and a host of other relatives and friends.
