Jerry Tinsley, age 68, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away on April 25, 2026, at home.
Born on March 26, 1958, in Clanton, Alabama. Jerry Tinsley was the beloved son of the late Willie B. Tinsley and Morris Tinsley.
He grew up in Lomax, Alabama, and went to Chilton County High School.
He dedicated his life to laying vinyl flooring for over 20 years. Known for his kindness, humor, and determination, he touched the lives of many in the community.
Beyond his professional life, Jerry Tinsley found joy in spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed doing mechanical work. He will be remembered for his laughter and sense of humor he shared to those around him.
His compassionate heart touched everyone he met, and he made sure the people in his life always heard the words, “I Love You.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mazella Tinsley and Willie B. Tinsley; one sister, Dorothy J. Tinsley; and two sets of grandparents, Willie Vester Dunigan and Louise Dunigan, and Esther and Velma Tinsley.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: three children, Kimberly Carter of Mobile, Alabama, Brayden Cleckler of Chilton County, and Elizabeth Cleckler of Chilton County; one brother, Jimmy Tinsley (Dorothy Tinsley) of Calera, Alabama; two aunties, Lois Allison of Lomax, Alabama, and Mary Dunigan of Calera, Alabama; loyal friend, Julietta Stone of Jemison, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends.
