Irene Maul Nunn was born April 1, 1942, in Empire, Alabama, in Walker County to the late Mr. Rube Maul, Sr., and Nellie Mae Deramus Maul. Mrs.
Irene Nunn had one daughter, Mrs. Calvin Ann Sartain, whom she dearly loved; four brothers, Arthur Lee Maul, Rube Maul, Jr., William Maul, and Johnny Maul; seven sisters, Callie Mae Maul Goodwin, Lillie Mae Maul, Ruby Lee Maul, Willie Mae Maul, Mary Inez Maul, Alice Maul Pittman, and Emma Lee Maul Houle; and a dear husband, Mr. Ellis Fisher Nunn and Mr. Kenneth Andrew Stone, whom all preceded her in death.
Irene Maul Nunn attended school in Jefferson, Autauga County and the Chilton County Training School. She joined New Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was baptized in Billingsley, Alabama. She later joined Morning Star Baptist Church, Clanton, Alabama.
Irene Maul Nunn peacefully transitioned on October 27, 2024, at Integrated Health Service, in Alabaster, Alabama, at the age of eighty-two years old.
Irene Maul Nunn was survived by: her grandsons, Michael Cooper, Sr. (Kylie), of Calera, AL, Darius Sartain of Clanton, AL, and Joseph Sartain (Taneisha) of Clanton AL; great-grandchildren, Kynslee Tyanna and Zeke Cooper, both of Calera, AL, Michael and Miguel Cooper, both of Clanton, AL, Peyongta, Brenda, and Mathu Tinsley, all of Clanton, AL, Darionna Annice Sartain of Birmingham, AL, and Damauri Simon, T
