He departed this life on June 23, 2022 in Huntsville, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son: Herman DeVan Braxton Jr.; five grandchildren: Treasure Braxton, Precious Leslie, Modiasha White, Aniya Braxton, and Andarius Braxton. ; two sisters: Vickie Braxton, and Elizabeth (Jerome) Swindle; three brothers: Timothy Braxton, Bradford Braxton, and Paul (Vanessa) Braxton; one step daughter: Ianthier Burns; three step grandchildren: Antonio, Amleon, and A'Blesson Turner; nephews and nieces: Debrah, Pamela, Elizabeth, Nichole, Corneisha, Keturah, and Jerome Jr.; great nephews and nieces: Meghann, Dazmon, Kornelius, Annie V, Edward, Lyric, and Alisabeth; great-great nephews and nieces: Nickolas, NyRyan, Jaleel, and Courtney; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends.
