Mrs. Henrietta Brown was born in Barbour County on December 23, 1945, to the late Mr. Andrew Floyd and the late Mrs. Elvira Floyd.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church of Clayton, Alabama. She later married Mr. Jessie Nunn who preceded her in death, and they migrated to Jemison, Alabama, where they became the parents of five children. She was also married to the late Mr. Ricky Brown.
She believed in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and ensured that each of her children knew God. Missing church was not an option but was mandated. Sister Brown loved singing in the choir for many years at Holly Grove.
She departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Hoover, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Moses Floyd of Tampa, FL, Lucy Kate Reeds of Elizabeth, NJ, Jesse Cade Floyd of Tampa, FL, Elex Floyd of Tampa, FL, Emma Neil Halloway of Tampa, FL, and Walter Edward Floyd of Tampa, FL; and her great-grandson, Jayrus Shemar Wilson, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Jesse W. Nunn (Pastenna), and Kenny T. Nunn (Sekitha); three daughters, Marietta Nunn, Fannie M. Bullard (Lee), and Teresa D. Cash (Johnny); brothers, Hoses Floyd of Tampa, FL, Essie Mae (Bennie) of Columbus, GA, and Madie Lou Gilbert of Clayton, AL; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
