George W White

Mr. George Washington White was born on September 28, 1947, in Verbena, Alabama. He was the fifth child born to the late Eugene and Elizabeth White, Sr.

He confessed Christ at an early age at the Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Verbena where he was superintendent of Sunday School and Deacon until his health failed him. He was a graduate of Chilton Co. Training School. His jobs included working for Stokes Chevrolet, Clanton Police Dept, Farming and he retired from the Chilton Co. Sherriff Dept.

He transitioned from this life on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at home in Verbena, AL.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mildred White and his daughter: Iris White: five brothers and two sisters: Jessie White, Carolyn Petway, Kennedy White, Eugene White, Jr., Georgia Phillips, Johnny White, Sr. and Robert White

He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters: Yolandar Landis Thomas , Montgomery, AL ; Donna Cooper, Clanton, AL; one son: Jermaine (Tracy) White : nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild : three brothers :Joe White, Titus AL Clarence White, & Oscar White both of Verbena, AL ; four sisters: Virginia Howard, Verbena, AL; Naomi Thompson Verbena, AL; Alberta Jackson, Millbrook, AL; & Carrie Sails, Verbena, AL; three sister in laws Yolanda G. Cunningham & Ametrice White both of Verbena, AL ; Julie Cunningham Rockford ,AL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. And a Special Friend Mr. Jerry Cooper
