George W (Buster) Varner Jr.

George (Buster) Washington Varner, Jr., was born December 22, 1956, to the late Princess Mae Deramus and the late George Washington Varner, Sr. George was a member of the Church of Christ in Clanton, Alabama.

George was born, raised, and lived his adult life in Clanton, Alabama. George worked for the City of Clanton for 25 years as a sanitation truck driver and retired in 2004. George was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Webster Varner; son, Shanard Varner in 2022; brother, Stanford Deramus; and Ruby Jewel Varner.

George leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Jennifer Varner; grandson, Amari Crenshaw; granddaughter, Simone Crenshaw; brothers, Garrett Varner and Darryl Varner; sisters, Wanda Varner and Viki Braxton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
