GENERAL LEE AGEE was born on June 26, 1944, to the late George Agee, Sr., and Annie Collier Agee. A man of deep faith, humility, and unwavering strength, he was raised in the tradition of the Southern Baptist church and carried those values with him throughout his life.
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, General Lee Agee transitioned peacefully at his home surrounded by the love and presence of his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughters, Michelle Agee Stacy and Charita Agee Abercrombie, and his siblings, Amie Ray Walley, Sadie Mae Collier, Geraldine Elizabeth Jackson, Ernestine Bernice Strickland, and George Agee, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Bobbie Gordon Agee; eight loving children, Desmond Agee of Augusta, GA, Marcus Agee of Maplesville, AL, Crystal (Joshua) Price of Deatsville, AL, Natasha (Cristofer) Wilson of Montgomery, AL, Javier Agee of Deatsville, AL, Francheska (Ronnie) Cottingham of Montevallo, AL, Andra Agee of Fort Wayne, IN, and Pamela (Terrance) Lanier of Maplesville, AL; his brother, Matthew Agee of Detroit, MI; and his cherished aunt, Pearlie Caldwell of Montevallo, AL.
General Lee was a pillar of wisdom and love in his family and community. He found joy in the simple things like family gatherings and meaningful conversations. His life was a testament to love, loyalty, and the quiet power of a good man.
His legacy lives on through a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless others who were blessed to know him.
Though he is no longer with us in body, the love, values, and memories he instilled will live on for generations. He fought the good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith.
