Sister Ethel Lee Stone was born on August 19, 1931, in Columbus, Mississippi, to the late Walter Robert Jones and Mary Lou Jones.
She confessed Jesus 40 years ago at Jesus Is the Way True Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Richard Ray, where she received the Holy Ghost. She was the oldest mother of the church.
On the morning of November 23, 2023, Thanksgiving morning, silence was in the room of Sister Ethel L. Stone as she slept away in the Lord. “Well done, my good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three siblings, son, and granddaughter.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her four children, Debbie K. Baker, Jimmy Stone, Steve Stone, and Minister Larry Stone (Susie); one sister-in-law, Dorthy Jones of Detroit, MI; eight grandchildren, Quad Stone (Octavia), Jason Stone (Shalonda), Tanisha Johnson, Justin Stone, Vick Zeigler, Vanessa Stone, Darius Stone (Autum), and Bobby Lee (Roberta); 13 great- grandchildren, including Kennadi, Zuri, Micha, Michaela, Ari, Symphoni, Grayson, and Serenity; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, Robert Zeigler, Shannon Zeigler, Christina, Jerrell Lee, and Lamont Lee.
