EMOGENE EVELYN WILLIAMS-ODEN was born June 5, 1932, in Verbena, Alabama to the parents of late Crate Polk and Emma Holmes Polk. She was the oldest of three daughters. She attended Verbena elementary and Chilton County Training School in Chilton County.
At an early age, she joined Morning Star Baptist Church and later joined Shady Grave Baptist church in Verbena, Alabama. Member of Serval churches in Cleveland.
She was employed at Forest Hill Nursing home until its closing. Later she became a cook at Header Line Cafeteria were she retired.
Preceded her in death Brother Robert Polk, Sisters Eldena Lewis, Clatie P. Baldwin, Naomi P. Warren, and Grandson Roman Gabriel Williams.
On December 6, 2022 at 9:45 p.m. Emogene received her wings and flew to heaven to be with the LORD.
She leaves to celebrate her life her daughters: Annie Jean Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Catherine Chapman (Thomas) of Cincinnati, Ohio, son Charlie J Williams (Sandra), of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandchildren: Kay (Daniel), Theesha, Shawnté, and Emiillii. 7 Great- grand and 5 Great- Great grand. A host of Nieces and Nephews, family members and friends.
