Mrs. Emma Jean (Allen) Witcher was born to the late Elbert and Mary Allen on June 25, 1954, in Clanton, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and later married the late Eugene Witcher of Clanton, Alabama.
She made her transition to eternal life on Monday, September 18, 2023.
She had a love for all things beautiful, especially her home furnishings and clothing. She loved to decorate and accessorize. Her love continued in caring for others, particularly children.
She was instrumental in caring for and assisting in the raising of her grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and some godchildren. Whenever you saw her, she always had a sweet smile for you and some snappy wit to go with it.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Witcher; and six siblings, Fannie M. Davis, Jefferson Varner, Jr., Grover Varner, Moses Varner, John Varner, and Mary F. Dennis.
Emma leaves her memories to be cherished by her one son, Franklin (Shamese) Trimble of Moody, Alabama; life partner, Bobby Chappell of Clanton, Alabama; two sisters, Romie A. Rush and Eva M. (Ennis) Winters, both of Hampton, Virginia; three grandchildren, Courtney Baker and Xavier Trimble of Clanton, Alabama, and Kayden Reynolds of Birmingham, Alabama; two bonus daughters, Eboni Dennis of Montgomery, Alabama, and Leteshia (Carlos) Thomas of Calera, Alabama; two godsons, Arthur (Sabrina) Harris of Calera, Alabama, and Joseph (Arhonda) Harris of Warner-Robbins, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Beverly J. Varner of Gadsden, Alabama, and Ruby M. Varner of Clanton, Alabama; special friend, Cathy (Will) Walker of Montogomery, Alabama; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A special thank you to her two lovely nieces, Rejeana M. Varner and Arleatrice E. Winters, for all of your help and encouragement.
