Darrin D. Mitchell was born in Maplesville, Alabama, to the late Samuel Hall and Barbara Tripp.

He departed this life on January 1, 2023, in Canton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Andrew (Nettie Nell) Hall; and grandmother, Minerva L. Mitchell.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a mother, Barbara Tripp; stepfather, lrben Tripp of Billingsley, Alabama; three children, Tsharrah Cutler of Autaugaville, Alabama, Darryl Golson of Canton, Ohio, and Trammayne (Brenda) Golson of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Diane Brown of Billingsley, Alabama, Felecia (Jeffrey) Edwards of Canton, Ohio, and Lakisha (Anthony) Stover of Selma, Alabama; six grandchildren, Esmeralde Golson, Silas Golson, Devin Golson, Darnell Golson, Shaleah Smith, and Lamarion Smith; five nephews, Jeffrey Edwards, Jr, Jordan Brown, Jaytarius Steele, Quamayne Edwards, and Keeshun Steele; three nieces, Jaquelya Mitchell, Keonna Steele, and Jalisa Edwards; a special friend, Brenda Hicks of Canton, Ohio; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
