Darrien Campbell Obituary

Brother Darrien James Campbell was born to the late Kyser and LeDora Campbell on March 10, 1960, in Maplesville, Alabama.

Darrien was baptized and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age. His faith remains with the Lord.

One of Darrien’s greatest joys was playing the guitar and singing, which he started at a young age. He sang with The Gospel Hurricaines, The Wondering Clouds, and lastly, his beloved Sensational Spiritualaires.

With his love for gospel music, he has always said “I’m a quartet man.”

Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Kyser and LeDora Campbell; his sister, Bonnie Lily; and his brother, Ed Campbell.

He leaves: wife of 35 years, Mae, and their three beautiful children, Ashley, Jamison Derrell, and Nichelius Letwun; brothers, George (Brenda) Campbell of Los Angeles, CA and Vivian James (Linda) Campbell of Clanton, AL, and Eric (Patricia) Campbell of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Martha (Roger) Martin of Montevallo, AL, Mary Campbell of Anniston, SC, and Wyma Rutledge, Montevallo, AL; nieces and nephews, who were his first set of children and many individuals who referred to him as Uncle Darrien; and a host of other family members, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
