Earthly Entrance
Carcheidi was born and welcomed into the world at Chilton County Hospital, Clanton, Alabama on Thursday, June 28, 1979 to his parents, Larry and Ola Blackmon.
Earthly Living
Carcheidi was physically and spiritually nurtured as a child; he confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized by pastor, Bobby McGowan, at Happy Church in Maplesville, Alabama, and later became a faithful member under the leadership of his mother, Pastor Ola Blackmon at Warriors for Christ Church in Plantersville, Alabama.
Carcheidi attended school and graduated with advanced honors from Billingsley High School in Billingsley, Alabama. After graduation, he attended college at AUM, then obtained a degree in criminal justice from Troy University. With a degree in criminal justice, carcheidi pursued a career in law enforcement by attending the Birmingham Police Academy to become a law enforcement officer, where he served in the capacities of a patrol officer for the housing projects, officer for the homeless, and street accident investigator.
Carcheidi’s hobbies consisted of playing video games, namely XBox and PlayStation along with the enjoyment of hanging out with his law enforcement buddies cooking out (grilling), watching football games (Chicago Bears was his favorite NFL team), UFC fighting, and basketball.
Earthly Transition
Carcheidi transitioned from his earthly physical life on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Lasting Memories
Carcheidi leaves behind his loving parents, Larry Blackmon of Thornsby, Alabama, and Ola Blackmon of Plantersville, Alabama; two siblings, Felecia (Kerry) Craig of Selma, Alabama, and Chantel Q. Moore of Huntsville, Alabama; one niece and one nephew; like a sister, Ann White of Montgomery, Alabama; several aunts, uncles, cousin and numerous friends; and special friends of the Birmingham Police Department.
