Bobbie (Barbara) Ann Robinson, heard God call her name
on February 12, 2024. She answered His call surrounded by
her family who loved and cared for her during her time of
transition.
She was born November 21, 1946, to the late Ulysses
and Dollzell (Gill) Cooper and Moses Pasley. She spent most
of her life in Alabama while also living in Cleveland, Ohio.
Bobbie/Barbara retired from Bellsouth/AT&T. She enjoyed
cooking, crossword puzzles, dining out, shopping, jigsaw
puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.
She
attended Holy Ghost Catholic School in Marbury, Alabama
during her elementary years. For high school she attended
North Highland in Autauga County, and went on to receive
an Associate Degree in Business Administration at Wallace
Community College in Selma/Clanton, Alabama, as well as
a Bachelor of Science Management of Human Resources at
Faulkner University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Bobbie/Barbara accepted Christ at an early age; she was
baptized at Penetecost AME Church in Verbena, Alabama.
Where she was a member of the choir and was President of the
Youth Department. She later joined St. James Baptist Church
in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1962, she married John Henry
Robinson, and to this union two daughters were born: Gwen
and Sondra.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donnie
Faye McDaniel, Joe Pasley, James (Pop) Pasley, Larry Tyus,
and Juanita Ulmer.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two devoted daughters,
Sondra Ford of Calera, Alabama and Gwendolyn Dickerson
of Pelham, Alabama; two sisters, Maggie Brooks of Verbena,
Alabama and Hazel Gipson of Prattville, Alabama; one brother,
Steve (Wendy) Tyus; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Tyus of Clanton,
Alabama and Wendy (Steve) Tyus; five grandchildren, Lacy,
Skylar, Jazmin, Chris, and Tiffany; five great-grandchildren,
Neimiah, Kameron, Delilah, Naya, and Genesis; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including four special
friends, Lynn Jordan Nobles, Estelle Watkins, Yvonnie Ray,
and Peggy Morgan (who preceded her in death).
