Bernard Jerome (B.J.) Winters

Bernard Jerome Winters (B.J.) was born on November 8, 1985 to Ms. Nancy Yarenko and Mr. Alvin Winters Sr. in West Germany and also from the Ojibwe Tribe. B.J. entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2022 in Clanton, AL at the age of 36. He accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at an early age. 

B.J. found joy in so much during his life. He loved watching Auburn football, playing video games, walking to visit family and friends, recycling cans, and having yard sales. He also enjoyed spending his time DJ-ing and making CDs. B.J. had a big passion for making music and had dreams of becoming a successful music artist.

He loved to work and was a hard worker. He also loved his dogs, especially Ms. Feefee who will miss his care tremendously. However, most importantly, B.J. had a deep love for his family, and cherished the time they would spend together, and enjoyed family dinners and events. One thing for sure is that B.J. would take a picture with you before he left, and he would never forget to send you a birthday card. 

B.J. leaves behind his loving and devoted parents, Nancy Yarenko, and Alvin Winters Sr. (Temika), his siblings Fredrick Yarenko (Jennifer), Alton Winters, Jessica Clay (LaDarrius), Alvin Winters Jr., Leslie Rolland, Alexis Varner, Tarun Varner, Charity Stone, and Charrish Stone, and his nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Margaret Sutherland, Ennis Winters Jr. (Eva), Andrew Winters (Carolyn), Shelia Cora (Rafael), Johnny Winters (Shirley), Ed Winters (Criselda), Annie Varner (Tim), Charlie Winters (Rose), Horace Winters (Marian), and Evelyn Laister (Cleo), and many loving cousins and special friends. 

B.J. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ennis and Anner Winters Sr., James and Elizabeth Yarenko, and aunts and uncles, Virginia Moore, Alex Pruden, Bill Yarenko, Sarah Pruden, and Clara Pruden.
