BENNIE LEE CHANEY was born on July 23, 1941, in Maplesville,
Alabama, to the late Marianne Tagger and Bennie Chaney. At an early
age, Bennie became a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
He was educated in the Chilton County school system, graduated high

licensed real estate salesperson.
He was an avid tennis player (pro level in his mind). He also loved
reading and keeping himself educated about current events. He
enjoyed challenging others and keeping them informed of the latest
and most pressing issues of the day.
After his retirement from Draper & Kramer, Chicago, Bennie
relocated to Verbena/Clanton, AL, where he served two terms as
