Beatrice Lee King, was alfectionately known as "Bea/Baby Sister", she was born November 13, 1951 to the late Mrs. Hattie Lee Powell in Marion, Al. She was raised by her mother and loving adoptive father the Late Mr. Jim Powell Jr in Jemison, AL where she was educated in the ChiltonCounty School System. Beatrice was a lifelong member of St. Paul Missionary Church, she was baptized at an early age and served as President over the Usher Board for over thirty years. She was also a faithful member until death. Sister Beatrice Lee King touched the lives of many with her gift of being an encourager. Though she leaves a tangible thing, she left a legacy of humility strength, and faith in God to her love ones that will forever remain. Anyone that knew Bea knew she was a giver at heart and she loved to make those around her laugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard King, her parents. and one granddaughter Yolanda Strong
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories: five loving daughters: Darlene (John) Woods, Brenda Strong, 'Teresa Strong, Celeste Strong and her baby girl Christine Strong, Her beautifiul grandkids that she had a hand in rasing: Valencia, LaToya, Morris, Douglas, Dominique, Twanda, Justin, Jonica. Dametrich, Clarence, Darrien, ShunDerrius, Mikyla, Josiah, Jaqueline, and La'Darrius, And her precious 28 great grandkids. six sisters: Rosa (Willic) McGee, Edith Powell Hattye (James) Hlead, Betty Powell, Cora (Joe) Vines, and Tempie Powell two brothers: Jimmy and Johnny Powell. Two Godsons Anthony Howard and Benjamin (Roletha) Howard one special uncle Mr. Otis Wimes. And a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, distant relatives and friends.
