Our beloved, Armerdean Kateer Brown, passed away on December 17, 2023 in her home in Marietta, GA. She was 48.
Armerdean was born in Clanton, AL on February 2, 1975 to Amegene and Charlie Smith. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Union Baptist Church. Following her graduation from Chilton County High School, Armerdean enlisted in the US Army, and proudly served her country for four years. In 1995, while serving a tour in Korea, she met her future husband, Eric Brown. Armerdean and Eric went on to have three children, Ariel, Aryn, and Eric (EJ). Among her many accomplishments in the Army, Armerdean was awarded the Army Accomodation Medal, selected for an assignment at The Pentagon, and received an honorable discharge in 1997.
Although she was working full-time and had an infant at home, Armerdean attended college at night and earned her bachelor’s degree from Devry University. She continued to thrive professionally and became a Branch Manager for Chase Bank. Armerdean was an adventurous traveler, a caring mother of three, and a loving wife.
She cherished long conversations with her sisters, adored spending time with her family, and was always there to support her children in their activities. Her strength, love, and dedication will forever be remembered and missed.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Brown; children, Ariel Shante Brown, Aryn Shantel Brown, and Eric Jerome Brown; parents, Amegene and Charlie Smith; mother in-law, Patricia Brown-Wilson; siblings, Marcella Nunn, Thomas (Billie) Works, Charlotte Browder, Jerry Washington, Charetta (Goffery) Lane, Tammier Ray; sister in-law, Jeronna Brown, in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
